		<description><![CDATA[Carrots are biennial, that means, you can harvest seeds only in the second year.
Carrots Do cross pollinate, so separate them 1/4 mile from other carrots in the first year.   In the second year, when they are going to seed, separate them also from Queen Anne&#8217;s Lace (about 1/4 mile).

It is a good idea to plant carrots and radishes in alternating rows as the radishes come up much earlier than the carrots and will remind you where the carrots were    Both vegetables can be planted as early as 25 days before your frost date.
